We run a wide range of classroom-based and online learning provision in partnership with the Education and Skills Funding Agency to help unemployed people across North East England to improve their skills and get back into work. These programmes are funded by the Adult Education Budget (AEB), which is administered by the Tees Valley Combined Authority, South Tyneside Council and Durham County Council.
Our AEB courses aim to create flexible and tailored programmes of learning for adults who have been out of work, no matter why or for how long. We deliver a variety of courses ranging from qualifications in health and social care, retail, customer service, business improvement techniques, business administration, hospitality, IT and employability/personal social development.
We are committed to moving people into work, so many of our courses have job interviews or placements at the end. As part of each course we provide information, advice and guidance including professional recruitment advice and mentoring. We also offer an in-work support service to help people stay in employment after securing a job.
