Meet Tina Henderson, our partnership manager who has been part of the Triage team since 2019 and has worked in Welfare to Work for over ten years.
"My background was previously in social work where I was responsible for developing and facilitating user and carer participation. I am passionate about learning, self-development and inclusion, and I believe everyone has something still left to learn.
"As the partnership manager for the JETS and Work and Health Programme, I am the single point of contact offering support and advice between Jobcentre Plus and Triage. Promoting the benefits of the different workstreams including our skills and development activities I am responsible for responding to queries, collating data and providing timely information, ensuring work coaches and employment advisers have accurate and up-to-date 'snapshots in time' of their participants' progress on any of the programmes.
"I liaise with other area partnership managers from REED regularly and am the health advocate for the JETS programme, supporting customers to make informed choices about managing their health conditions in the workplace.
"Work coaches are very welcome to contact me with any query or questions or to provide an update on customer progress.
"The pandemic has brought some changes where I have adapted from attending the Jobcentres in person to depending a lot more on emails, video and telephone contact. I miss the face-to-face interaction, especially the opportunities to engage with work coaches and getting to understand the issues and parameters they face; which are different, but at the same time very similar to those in Welfare to Work.
"Hopefully things will soon return to closer to normality and I will be able to resume the visits."
