Meet Amy Crone, one of our Employment Advisers on the JETS programme in the Tees Valley.
The JETS programme offers light touch employment support for individuals who have been unemployed for 13 weeks or more. Advisers offer a tailored approach to each participant to successfully support them into employment.
“I find my role incredibly varied, rewarding and also challenging at times,” says Amy “My day usually starts with our team meeting. This is a great opportunity to ask any questions or raise any concerns with my colleagues and line managers about the day ahead. The rest of my day is then made up of a mixture of face to face and telephone appointments with my participants, which are booked on a regular basis depending on their individual needs. Between appointments, I focus on out of appointment support, CV writing and researching the current labour market.”
Not only do JETS participants benefit from access to their own dedicated employment adviser, but they are also able to utilise the service offered by our in-house Skills team who deliver a range of courses handpicked to help upskill and increase employability. Participants also have access to vacancies sourced by our business development team in response to caseload requirements.
“Since joining Triage last year, I have found the support offered to me by my team, all our departments and the number of training opportunities to be incredibly useful. Not only has it allowed me to provide a service I can be proud of, it has meant I have been able to successfully support my participants into work which makes all the challenging times worth it.”
