Liam is a practicing solicitor and has been a trusted advisor to SMEs and family businesses for over 26 years. He has also served as Chief Executive of his firm, Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie, a prominent independent Scottish law firm. As Liam has said - “if you can successfully get lawyers to do what you need them to do, then you can deal with just about anything!” Liam is also a registered mediator and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has brought his wide understanding of commerce, law and dealing positively with people to the Board.
Liam has considerable experience of making a business competitive and increasing profits in challenging markets, as well as personally leading several successful mergers and acquisitions, from initial approach to final integration stage.
Liam has recently been appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the highest grade of membership in the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the global professional body for dispute resolution practitioners.
