Kate has from an early age been attracted to energetic and dynamic opportunities with her spread of interests ranging across the business, social, economic and political arenas. She started her career working as a company secretary and financial accountant in the private sector and to better understand how to motivate and inspire people to achieve, completed a diploma in psychology.
Kate’s real passion in life has always been to help people progress and was the basis for setting up Triage in 1998. She has spent the last 20 years working across the education, skills training and employability agendas helping unemployed and disadvantaged people take back control of their lives and maximise their ability to progress and succeed in their chosen goals. Kate was very proud and grateful to be awarded an MBE in 2011 in recognition of her work within Triage. As CEO of a medium sized company she identifies with the challenges faced by many small businesses and has always worked closely with SMEs providing consultancy and practical input in financial, IT, staff training and business development.
Her vision going forward is that Triage continues to organically grow, diversify and spread its influence both geographically and socially, flexing to changes and the emerging needs of individuals, the wider society and political imperatives.
